Sanctuaries

Sanctuary:
A sacred space
A refuge
A shelter

This is what I hope you feel when you open the doors to my Sanctuaries. For a long time I have imagined a series of little altars. Sometimes we just need a place to celebrate or a place to lay our burdens down. Last Spring a friend asked me to make a box for her garden, a place she could go to honor the memory of her father and her brothers. That request triggered this series of sanctuaries. They are interactive pieces to be used indoors or out. People say Oh, you could tie on a ribbon or put in a shell. But I say, I am done now. This sanctuary is yours. You tie on or put in to suit your needs. If you come to own one, I hope it nourishes you. If you just look, I hope you take away some peace and joy.
